Today we hear from movie producer, Daryl Lefever, as he chats about his own journey into the adventure of film-making, and highlights the themes from “Jesus Revolution”, coming to theaters near you starting February 24th. This movie is an inspirational true story of a hippie revolution in the 70’s - known as the greatest spiritual awakening in American history! Real people, real struggles, and a story from the past that we can apply to our now. Listen in to hear why Daryl says we can have hope after watching this film…
DARYL LEFEVER has been in the film industry for 28 years and spent 15 of them as a feature film controller, traveling to locations around the world for up to a year at a time. His studio credits include X-MEN, THE POLAR EXPRESS, NANCY DREW, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, THE LUCKY ONE, and WILD, WILD WEST. Directors for whom he’s provided day-to-day production guidance include Tom Hanks, Robert Zemeckis, Roland Emmerich, Spike Jones, and George Miller.
In 2008, Daryl decided to focus on producing Christian-themed filmmaking. In addition to JESUS REVOLUTION, his credits since then include FAITH OF OUR FATHERS, AMAZING LOVE, MOMS’ NIGHT OUT, WOODLAWN, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE, UNPLANNED, and AMERICAN UNDERDOG.

Tyler is a middle school math and science teacher and Monica is a registered nurse, working as a case manager for a neurological recovery program. In April of 2010, Janae and Rodney Hostetter received devastating news. At only 12 weeks pregnant, they learned their baby girl had a severe birth defect called Anencephaly. This birth defect made their daughter "incompatible with life." They were told she would likely die a few minutes after being born. Janae and Rodney knew this child was a gift from God, so they quickly declined the option of abortion. Even though they did not see their daughter — Aliyah Joy — healed on this side of Heaven, they did see God begin to write a powerful redemptive story over her short life. Ready to hear how God uses this story for His glory and Kingdom purposes on Earth? Let’s go!
JANAE HOSTETTER is passionate about seeing an end to abortion. She has the privilege of serving on the board for Align Life Ministries with her husband who shares this same passion. Align Life is a gospel-centered ministry that provides pregnancy services and resources to families across Lancaster and Lebanon Counties in Pennsylvania. Rodney and Janae live in Ephrata, Pennsylvania and Janae enjoys being a stay-at- home mom to their four children ages 10, 8, 6 and 4.

LEE NIENHUIS is a coffee drinker, friend maker, and loud laugher. She is an author, Bible teacher, podcaster and communications consultant. Her books, “Brave Moms, Brave Kids” and “Countercultural Parenting” have helped countless parents step into their roles as the primary disciple makers of their families. Her writing and speaking have been featured in places like Proverbs 31 Ministries, Focus on the Family, Moms in Prayer International, and the True Woman Movement. Lee has a heart for the global church, and has recently joined Live Global, a team who supports, trains and equips believers worldwide. It sounds like a lot, but really, Lee loves Jesus. She Believes He transforms lives, His Word is powerful and effective, and that prayer matters more than we could imagine.
Lee lives with her handsome, hardworking husband, Mike, at Grace Adventures, a Christian Camp and Training Center in West Michigan. They have four great kids who make her need Jesus. And she says, “That’s a good thing.”
KORI PENNYPACKER has served with Bible2School since 2011. In her current position, Kori oversees the mission of Bible2School and Engagement by speaking to businesses, churches, and community leaders on the topic of the importance of spiritual training for elementary age children in our communities, especially those who are not able to attend church. She loves inviting people into the Bible2School Team as valued Members, Volunteers, and Donors.
Kori lives in Lititz with her husband, Blaine, and has three sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, and volunteering with her husband to mentor engaged couples at her church.
