128. The Truth about our Worldview
Tuesday Feb 13, 2024
Tuesday Feb 13, 2024
If we want the next generation to be God followers, standing firm on His Word without apology, we need to be intentionally teaching the kids in our lives how to do this. Our guest, Ken Ham, is the founder of Answers in Genesis, which is an apologetics organization founded on the words from 1 Peter 3:15 which tell us to be ready to give an answer for what we believe. You may know Ken from his famous debates with Bill Nye the Science guy, or possibly you’ve visited one of his two parks, the Creation Museum & Ark Encounter. Regardless of whether or not you’ve heard of Ken, you’re in for a treat as he speaks to the difference between teaching children HOW to think instead of WHAT to think, and the importance of starting our thinking from God’s Word, not man’s.
Ready to hear how to build up a next generation of people who will stand firm on a Biblical Worldview? Let’s go!
KEN HAM is the founder and CEO of Answers in Genesis and its two popular attractions: the acclaimed Creation Museum and the internationally known Ark Encounter, which features a life-size 510-foot-long Noah’s Ark—sometimes described as the “8th Wonder of the Modern World.” Each year, the two attractions host over 1.5 million guests. A much-in-demand Christian speaker and interview guest, Ham became well known throughout America for his 2014 evolution/creation debate with Bill Nye, TV’s “The Science Guy.” Ham hosts the daily radio program Answers, now on 1,000 stations. He’s also the founder of the award-winning Answers magazine. In 2020, Ham launched Answers TV, an ambitious streaming service. His website of AnswersInGenesis.org has twice won the top award from the National Religious Broadcasters for best website.
A prolific blogger and author of more than 30 books, Ham’s newest releases are Divided Nation (about today’s culture wars) and the devotional commentary Creation to Babel.
Ken and his wife Mally have 5 children and 18 grandchildren and reside in Northern Kentucky.

Tuesday Feb 06, 2024
Tuesday Feb 06, 2024
Forgiveness is a tough conversation, because there are so many layers and levels to this action. Our guest, Donna Nicholson Stief, is familiar with this topic in some of the deepest ways. So as you listen to her wisdom on forgiving what you can’t forget, you can be comforted that she shares from a place of knowing and understanding. She answers the question, “How do we let someone off the hook when the rest of our lives are devastated or we are deeply wounded?” and helps us understand the difference between looking in a mirror and peering through a window. You’ll hear how Donna went from knowing what forgiveness meant by definition, to living it out every day.
Ready to hear how forgiveness is freedom for the forgiver? Let’s go!

Tuesday Jan 30, 2024
Tuesday Jan 30, 2024
There’s no better time than today to get involved with what’s going on in our children’s lives, especially in the public school setting. Our guest, Kelly Carter, is a recently elected official on her school board and she’s here to tell us how God has strategically fit the puzzle pieces of her life together to prepare her for this great assignment.
Ready to hear the spiritual and practical steps Kelly took to become an elected official on her school board? Let’s go!
KELLY CARTER and her husband, Joe, have been married 23 years and have 8 children. After high school, Kelly attended Messiah University for two years as an Elementary Education Major. She transferred to Rowan University to finish her degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Math and Science.
While attending high school and college, Kelly worked in daycare and as an aide in an elementary classroom.
When she graduated from college, she began working in her hometown as a Kindergarten teacher. She had two children and then moved to Pennsylvania for her husband’s job.
In Pennsylvania, Kelly worked for a local church in several leadership roles within their kidMinistry. Kelly and Joe have also been involved in the foster care system for the last ten years and have adopted five of their eight children through foster care. Kelly is a part-time substitute teacher as she cares for her four year old at home and manages the many appointments, schedules and laundry.
Kelly’s life experiences have uniquely prepared her to step into the role of a School Board director. Having children throughout the district also gives her a ground level perspective to aid in decision making within the Board.
